This symbol is my interpretation of Brigid's knot, which according to the Celtic myth, Brigid wove from rushes beside her father's deathbed. It is said that this knot represents the interconnection of father and child beyond the embodied life.

By turning the knots into eyes I have personalized the Celtic story to be about genetic inheritance, both physical traits and psychological patterning. This piece was made for the sixth chakra--insight--the color of the energy and ink is indigo.
